George – I was going to a junior school at seven or eight years old and I was frightened of being hit. My natural feeling was how do I stop myself from being hit? The way to do that, was I didn’t want to go to school and so I’d scratch myself and scratch myself until I bled. I had a period of time off school, where my mum started taking me to the doctors and they said you need to go back to school.

My mum had a faith and she sent me to see a priest. She thought if I got some spiritual counsel, that would be okay. I got a more than spiritual counsel. as the priest raped me. He told me that if I told anyone what he was doing to me, that nobody would believe me.
