Triumph & Tragedy On Record Breaking 14 Peaks Summit, features Kristin Harila. Kristin and Tenjen Sherpa, a guide from Seven Summit Treks, established a new record by summiting all 14 true geographic summits in just 92 days. In the process, Kristin and Tenjen broke multiple records, including 26 eight-thousander summits. Plus attaining the fastest Everest and Lhotse summits by a female.

Kristin – I saw that he’d managed to get to the top camp without the right equipment. I don’t judge but that was just naivety on his part. We never met him before and we suddenly saw one person hanging upside down. When we first saw him, we didn’t know if it was a man, woman, porter, Sherpa or a climber. We just saw that it was a person that needed help and the person was without a down suit and gloves. Maybe they fell off without oxygen and was hanging in a position that was very unnatural. So what had happened before, we don’t know. We know for sure that if he’d have been in our team, we would never have let him up without down suit and oxygen.

My Near DEATH Experience, features Jeff Olsen. After crashing his automobile, Jeff came back to life to find his wife and son dead. He goes on to describe seeing the afterlife and being given the choice to come back to life to look after his remaining son. This is an incredible story of dealing with and overcoming grief following bereavement.

Jeff – There were reports of crosswinds and there was reports of a red truck driving erratically on the on the interstate. What happened though, is I dozed off at the wheel. I think I just nodded off and I swerved to the right, then I over corrected to the left. I lost control of the car and the car began to roll not off the road, but down the road at about 75 miles per hour. I’m not sure what that is in the metric system but it’s fast.
It was a high speed rollover and I blacked out for most of the crash. When the car came to a stop, I was very conscious and very alert. The first thing I heard was my seven-year-old son crying hysterically in the back seat. As a father I thought I’ve got to get to my boy and that’s when I realized that I could not move. I was pinned down, I was struggling to breathe and there was the rancid smell of gasoline.

Simon – When you get an unexpected day off work and your boss might say, take a day off work tomorrow. you know you’ve had a great week. We can use it as a day off to catch up with your own things. I’ll come home without any planning or idea of how I want to use that time. I end up wasting it as I’ll wake up late, watch some day time television and then I’ll finally start my day mid-afternoon. By the time I get through a couple of hours, I’m already at the end of the day.
When we look at productivity, it’s less about time management and more about energy management. You can be time rich but if you’re energy poor you’re going to waste that time. If you’re energy rich, even if you’re time poor, you’re going to get more done in that time than it would take others weeks or even months to achieve.

Ian – He was kind of making motions for us to go off down the the smaller part of the river, so imagine a massive island right in front of us. He wanted us to go down the left-hand side which was out on the flow of the river. Bigger than the Thames, but it’s the smaller part of the river. We basically said no and he was beginning to piss us both off. He then stood up and pulled a pistol out and so before he could aim, I struck him with my paddle high up in the chest. I guess the best way we can kind of get out of that situation if there’s armed or just aggressive men. We’re both pretty big lads compared to most Peruvians.

Clint – In that industry, you had to ground anything electrical to the Earth. You had to actually connect it to the Earth. That was for shielding. To push away extraneous environmental signals and to protect the data that was inside, so not to corrupt it. If there’s a lightning strike or if there’s a any kind of an atmospheric electrical event, you need to be able to ground that charge. Otherwise, it’ll get into a home group, TV set or communication system and it starts fire. That’s why everything in the home, you started putting grounding systems in.
