Surviving TV’s BIG BROTHER, features Penny Ellis who was a contestant in series 2 of Big Brother and stated the show had ruined her life.

Surviving Big Brother, features Penny Ellis who featured in series 2 of the highly popular TV show. Penny found it difficult to get back into teaching after her television appearance. Although thrust into fame & mixing with A-list celebrities, Penny went on to suffer with mental-health issues. She stated that, ‘Big Brother ruined my life’. Thankfully, Penny has come out the other side a far happier & wiser person.

Penny – I thought well blimey, I’ve already told the school who gave me a letter saying we expect you back on the first day after you come out. No one thought it was going to go anywhere and no one knew what reality TV was. So I’ve got a letter saying that I didn’t go to the union, nor got any advice. I didn’t read whatever I signed. You know I trusted these people and then they said they lost my tape, so they couldn’t add me in before anyway.

I thought well that’s it and then a couple of weeks later, one of the guys said, oh I want to redo your tape. Then they said we’re definitely having you. On the day I was finishing school I was supposed to go in on the Monday, so I had the weekend to pack my suitcase and all sorts of everything.
