Quadruple platinum selling artist, Carol Decker formed the pop/rock band, T’Pau, in 1986 with guitarist/co-songwriter Ron Rogers.

Carol formed the pop/rock band, T’Pau, in 1986 with guitarist/co-songwriter Ron Rogers. Their debut album “Bridge of Spies”, released in 1987, spawned six hit singles. Of those singles included was the number one smash, ‘China In Your Hand’. That song alone sold over 1.2 million copies in the UK, eventually going quadruple platinum.

C – By the time I got my record deal with Virgin records, I was twenty-six and by the time we were recording the album I was twenty-seven. So I was pushing thirty when China in your hand was at number one. The years went by really quickly so I wasn’t actually that young. I’d been knocking around a long time in local bands and just trying to trying to catch a break. It didn’t come easily, it was very hard.
